Bureau of Land Management appoints new Carson City District Manager

Carson City, Nevada – The Bureau of Land Management has announced the selection of the District Manager for the Carson City District.

Kimberly Dow will take charge of the Carson City district at the end of August.

“Kim is a respected and proven BLM Nevada leader with a track record for getting things done. She also has an incredible level of knowledge and diverse experience,” said BLM Nevada State Manager Jon Raby. “We are all thrilled that Kim is leading such an important district for BLM Nevada.”

Dow most recently served as the Sierra Front Field Manager for the Carson City BLM District. Dow began her career at BLM as a volunteer, then became an intern through the Student Career Experience program. After graduating from college, Dow began his lifelong career as a wildlife biologist at BLM’s Folsom field office in California. In 2006, she joined BLM Nevada working in several positions in the Nevada State Office including Management and Program Analyst, Natural Resources Specialist, Fisheries Program Manager, Renewable Energy Coordinator, and Resources Division Manager. renewable.

Dow is a California native and graduated from California State University Sacramento, with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology. Dow’s time away from work is spent with his family participating in Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and sports.
